ORIGINAL SONG: "Jean D'Trailer Park"

Not to step on Flabbergasted's reviews or anything, but given the general dearth of content this week, I figured I may as well throw something new up over the weekend. This is one of my original songs.

This one makes me happy. That's me playing guitar (Badly) and the late great Mark Musser on bass. I'm singing lead. Pecussion is me banging on the back of my guitar while singing backing vocals. It was recorded on an ancienct (1985) Tascam cassette 4-track recorder. I loved that thing. Alas, it has long since gone the way of all analog technology.

The song was done one night when half my band ("The Mahamta Randys" were off doing something else, and we couldn't get our normal practice space, so Mark and I set up in my office after hours, ordered a pizza from Nick's next door, and alternately recited Moore/Cook comedy routines from memory, jammed, and recorded this song. That was a great night. Happy memories. I thought I'd lost this track years ago, and rediscovering it was quite the coup for me. That was 2009, I think. Mark died a couple years ago, and hearing him play bass again on this...well, good day, right?

Anyway: This song isn't about anyone in particular. Instead it's a pastiche of a large assortment of paranoid schizophrenics and sanctimonious pseudo-psychics I've known in my life. That said, two lines are about two particular incidents from two particular women.
