Late last week, rumors surfaced that about a hundred "lost" Doctor Who episodes had been found in Ethiopia, of all places. A number of people dismissed this as being on par with other African scams, such as "Send us your PIN number and we'll send you the tapes of the TV shows."
However, the BBC has now confimed that episodes long believed to have been erased forever, have been returned to the network. These feature the first two Doctors, William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton, and date to the 1960's and 1970's. The BBC is expected to reveal the episodes later this week at a press screening.
