Andy Samuel (Andy) Griffith passed away at his North Carolina home yesterday morning. Though best known for his eponymous sitcom and his warm, easygoing style, he had a large body of work, including the genre series "Salvage One".

By all accounts, Mr. Griffith was a kind and generous man and a man of faith; Although he was active in Democrat Party politics, he considered himself a "North Carolina Democrat.... sometimes [I] vote Democrat, sometimes [I] vote Republican, but [I] always vote for the best man"
He will always be remembered for portraying and presenting a type of Americana that we can aspire to.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
