There's really no two ways about it. What you are about to see is mind-numbingly good. Although I prefer what he did on Doctor Who... this is just amazing.

Mostly because the Empire has style. They cut a neat aesthetic. They've got all the recognizable fascist elements - high-collar uniforms, riding boots, somewhat art-deco mid-century styling, and cool theme music. They're basically Nazis without all the nasty, nasty baggage that group entails. I mean, why do we KEEP making WWII movies? Because the Nazis are such a great enemy: they're unquestionably evil, and very recognizably aesthetic. Snappy dressers.
Also, the public has always had an obsession with major advantage overdogs who lose and wear grey uniforms. Nazis, Confederates, etc.
I really like the animation, this guy's super talented; but can anybody tell me what's the fascination for taking the side of the Empire?
It's intriguing that he "looks inside" the TIE pilots' uniforms to show that there were people inside. The whole point of making the Stormtroopers wear armor was to dehumanize them (and save money on hiring lots and lots of extras, since the same ten guys could play just about ALL the Stormtroopers!)
I like the anime look to it and would like to see a full 30 or 60 min story in this style.
