Tonight, a chilling tale of Alien Abduction. Aliens aren't abducting the citizens of Metropolis, a Metropolitan is abducting aliens and cutting them into itty bitty pieces.
Clever concept, especially since the abductor is also a reanimated (mad) scientist... but a clever concept does not necessarily mean a clever outing on a Friday night.
(spoilers below!!!!)
Play by play:
Clark is checking on a pair of Kandorian sisters, one is quite taken with him… the other is disheartened and bitter due to last week's destruction of the Rao towers (short version: The Rao Towers would've filtered sunlight to allow the Kandorians to have Kryptonian powers). The 'nice' sister is gassed, abducted and put in a really odd containment capsule.
Lois and Clark bemoan their lack of a private life (even though Lois has just hidden a text from Amanda Waller and Clark is hiding all these Kandorians… there are plenty of secrets all around.
Tess seems to think that Ollie is responsible for the destruction of the towers, and someone is embezzling to boot. That someone would be Chloe, who Ollie confronts about the missing money. Chloe is using it to 'buy a life insurance policy for the planet'- a cache of kryptonite weaponry. While showing Ollie the shipping container that she's using to hold the weapons, someone takes a few pictures of them. Tess (naturally) comes to inspect the container, but Oliver has put them somewhere else. They agree to not tell Clark about them quite yet.
Zod and Kal-El jockey for position while trying to find Vala- Clark has weakened Zod politically by destroying the Rao Towers. Zod is not happy, mainly because Clark was right…
While they yammer, Vala gets to watch a fellow Kryptonian vivisected by Jigsaw in a Steampunk mask. JIgsaw, a.k.a. Dr. Chisholm confronts Lois in a way that is not at all uncreepy, or Tok'ra-like (Our special guest psychopath (J.R. Bourne)played Martouf in SG-1). The Kryptonians apparently conducted power restoring experiments on cadavers, and accidentally resurrected Dr. Chisholm.

I just watched the new Justice League movie with my sons-- snagged it for $20 on Blu-Ray
I'll be reviewing it shortly--- but yes, it is very good
The features are worth the price of admission even without the movie. I count about four and a half hours of good content (not filler) not counting the main feature.

Has anyone seen Justice League Crises on Two Earths? If you have not rent it I watched it yesterday on pay for view and I thought it was very good.

Gee, he's done so many cartoon voiceovers, that's almost like typecasting, isn't it? <G>

Yeah, J'Onn has been on Smallville less than Green Arrow and more than Black Canary.
He's played by Phil Morris.

Huh. I didn't know J.J. the M.M. had been introduced on this show.

I liked this episode but the mad Doctor could have been creepier. The whole Zod/ Kyrptonian gambit and the Chloe/ Green Arrow weapons stockpile seem a setup for a mega two part battle fest when Zod tries to take over the world. If Clark knows Jon Jones how come he did not ask for his help a cop that is the Martian Manhunter would seem to come in handy when searching for a missing alien.

Like a dense lead character in a Ted Dekker novel (but I repeat myself), everyone but Clark can see that helping Zod and/or the Kandorians is a mistake. I know it's because he's a good guy and always wants to find the best in people, but it is a little frustrating. He needs Bruce Wayne around to see the bad in everyone.
Apparently, Douglas Adams was right: the secret to flying is to throw yourself at the ground and miss.
I think this ep would have been better if they'd left the Ollie/Chloe storyline out of it. Maybe given them a whole 'nother ep as the story about Chloe stockpiling Kryptonite weapons was interesting, just misplaced.
