Tim Minear’s Unfilmed, Abandoned “The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress” Script

Hey, wow! Tim Minear (Of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which bored me, and Firefly, which I adored) wrote a movie script for Heinlein’s “The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.” I’m assuming the project is dead, since it’s a couple years old and I’ve never heard of the film, but the script is online here and pretty darn good! http://socalbrowncoats.com/images/moonfriday.pdf Despite being a bit too brisk, it actually touches on all the major points of the novel, even the creepy line-marriage one.

“The Trek You Didn’t Get To See - and it’s probably better that way…”

Wow! Now, as you know, most TV series buy more scripts than they can possibly use in a season, simply because they know in advance a couple of ‘em will crap out for various reasons in preproduction. Some of these will get held over for the next season, and some will simply be shelved, never to be seen again. This site http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Undeveloped_Star_Trek_episodes actually links to a metric buttload of unproduced scripts from the ORIGINAL trek from the 60s! Golly!
