Spoilers: Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)

Mama Fisi's picture

The Husband called me from work and asked if I'd like to go see "Guardians of the Galaxy" tonight.  Honestly, I have to say--no.  I looked up the trailers on YouTube, and if the trailer is supposed to make you want to see a movie, then these two failed spectacularly--at least in my case.

Republibot 3.0's picture

POSSIBLE MASSIVE SPOILER WARNING:

THE FOLLOWING BLOG ENTRY CONTAINS CRAZY, WILD-EYED, SLEEP-DEPRIVED, COLD-MEDICINE-ADDLED SPECULATION ABOUT DOCTOR WHO AND THE UNIQUE AND WORLD-SHATTERINGLY IMPORTANT ROLE RIVER SONG PLAYS IN IT. IT'S POORLY FORMATTED, THE GRAMMAR IS PRETTY BAD, IT WAS PRETTY OBVIOUSLY WRITTEN BY SOMEONE FREEBASING CAFFEINE (me), AND IT MAY SIMPLY BE AN EPIC CASE OF FANWANKERY ON SAID CAFFEINE-ABUSER'S PART.

PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK.

TV REVIEW:Smallville:Infamous

I've been scooped by someone who types much faster than I do! I think that "Burt Cottage" (If that IS his real name) is secretly an alien typist at the vanguard of a host of aliens with incredible clerical skills!

Clark decides to come out of the spandex closet and reveal himself (no, not THAT way) to the world, before hitting the reset button (or in this case, a Legion Time Travel ring) and making all the bad stuff go away.

For an episode with a built in reset button, this episode actually advanced Clark's journey considerably.

TV REVIEW:LOST: The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham (SPOILERS)

sysadmin 2.0's picture

Tonight, we get the complete life story of Jeremy Bentham, the alter ego of John Locke. From his birth in Tunisia to his death in Los Angeles, Mr. Bentham failed miserably in bringing the O-6 back to the island....

But we knew that, didn't we? So what DIDN'T we know?

Spoilers ahead

Well, somehow Widmore seems to believe that he was the leader of the Others (only they weren't 'Others' to him...) and that John needs to bring everybody back to the island before a war starts.

TV REVIEW: BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: "The Oath" (Season 4, Episode 13)

Republibot 3.0's picture

Philip K. Dick once said that "Things show their true nature by how they decay." If that's the case, the people and society of Galactica is shown to have been pretty vile all along, based on what we've seen in these last three episodes. But back to this in a minute. More immediately: Wow!

Now that was a hell of an episode. Fan reaction has seemed pretty weak on the last two episodes, but I liked 'em myself. This one should be more of a crowd-pleaser, though, I think.
