The British seem to have a knack for making science fiction comedies, and one of the best is Red Dwarf, by Rob Grant and Doug Naylor.  Running sporadically from its debut in 1988, the series spawned or inspired a number of spin-off books, magazines,  and other merchandise, as well as an aborted American iteration.  And, apparently, this animated short.

If you've ever seen the British sci fi series "Red Dwarf," you'll be struck by how much of a resemblance Zoe, the interactive talking head developed by Toshiba's Cambridge Research Lab and the University of Cambridge's Department of Engineering, bears to Holly, the computer interface.
