EPISODE REVIEW The Regular Show: The Night Owl

scizman's picture

Intro
OK I’m now back and better than ever. Lately I’ve been really busy. That and I have been coming to terms with growing old and my mortality. Yeah I know pretty dark stuff huh. But its all apart of the life cycle. I’ve also been watching some Silver Surfer too. It’s a fantastic show that I’m now considering reviewing. Although today I will be reviewing the Regular Show The Night Owl. Why? Cause R3 a week ago asked me. Yes its late but, really I should have been reviewing this show much earlier it has a lot Sci-fi elements and 80’s-90’s references.Yep good stuff.

EPISODE REVIEW: TRANSFORMERS PRIME: Shadowzone

scizman's picture

Intro
So yesterday I heard Megatron walked into the office about the script written for this weeks episode of Transformers. He Asked why do you keep squeezing these kids in every episode. The producer calmly straighten his $400 Versace sunglasses, then ran his hand briskly down his $50 dollar tie and push a seven figure check of an unknown number towards Megatron. For a moment Megatron hesitated trying to maintain some honor……. then took the check and left. If your wondering why Optimus Prime didn’t say anything its because he’s friends with Hasbro. They’re tight.

EPISODE REVIEW: Lost: “Lighthouse” (Season 6, Episode 5)

Republibot 3.0's picture

Since R2 and I are both covering this show, and since he tends to concentrate a bit more on the events, and I tend to concentrate a bit more on the implications, I’ve (Unilaterally) decided to stop doing full reviews - which are time-consuming and kind of a bit dull - and just go straight to the good stuff. I’m assuming I’ll hear no end of screaming about this at the next staff meeting, but for now…

OBSERVATIONS: Doctor Who: "The End Of Time, Part 2" (Season 31, Episode 5)

Republibot 3.0's picture

Boy, am I glad that's over!

Republibot 2.0 has already done a great play-by-play in his review, so I won't bother with one here. Where to begin with this ending? As anyone who ever watched "Melrose Place" or "Northern Exposure" o r "Lois an Clark" or the new "Battlestar Galactica" knows, there comes a point where you've jerked your audience around so much that it becomes increasingly difficult for them to give a damn. I'd say Doctor Who passed that threshold with the season 30 finale. (Which, in typical Russel T. Davies was basically a bunch of sound and fury signifying nothing)

OBSERVATIONS: Doctor Who: "The End Of Time, Part 1" (Season 31, Episode 4)

Republibot 3.0's picture

As Republibot 2.0 has already done a synopsis and review for the episode, I'm not going to bore you with another recap. Instead, I'll just jump right to my own observations:

OBSERVATIONS:

Wow, this was a goofy episode.

OBSERVATIONS: Doctor Who: “The Waters of Mars” (Season 31, Episode 3)

Republibot 3.0's picture

Republibot 2.0 has already reviewed this episode (Read it here: http://www.republibot.com/content/reviews-doctor-who-waters-mars ), and I have little to add to that, so I’m not going to bother with a synopsis or a formal review. I did just now manage to watch it on Youtube (Link below the jump), however, and as we’ve got no other real content today, I thought I’d offer my own observations.
