Matt Smith has announced that he will be leaving the long-running BBC series "Doctor Who" after appearing in the 50th anniversary special, and that the character of The Doctor will enter his twelfth regeneration during the annual Christmas Special.
Tonight you folks get to share the adventure that the English viewed nearly two weeks ago. So go turn to BBC America tonight at 9 for the 1st, 5th or 32nd season premier (depending on how you count)
I will BRIEFLY recap it here and throw open the doors for discussion.

So, after what seems years, the Davies/Tennant era is over. I really enjoyed most of it, but tonight it came to an end. Up until tonight, I hadn't thought that they had overstayed their welcome--- but honestly, Russell T. Davies managed to make his exit an amazing display of self indulgence.
The new Actor to play the next incarnation of the Doctor has been named- it's British actor Matt Smith, the youngest actor to ever play the role. As soon as I can filter through all the noise, I'll find a picture and post it.
(Matt Smith? What, they couldn't find a John Smith?)
