RETROSPECULATIVE TV: Man From Atlantis: “CW Hyde” (Season 2, Episode 9)

Before we begin, I’d like to explain something. “Retrospeculative TV” was intended to be a once-weekly feature, but, seeing as it started in the winter doldrums at the start of the year, there really wasn’t enough new material on TV to cover, so we thought we’d pad things out a bit (read: “Entirely too much”) by doing it on two days a week until the season picked up again. Owing to my rather bad math skills, I didn’t quite realize that 17 episodes translated into four months and one week. Duh. Even now, I had to use a calculator to figure that out.

EPISODE REVIEW: Survivors: “Episode 4” (Episode 4)

These kids - one of whom is named “Peter” - are walking through the woods when a loonie jumps out, takes their (dull) knife, and threatens them with it. The kids run back to a big manor house, and tell some older kids about it. The older kids decide to go hunting. They chase the loonie though the woods, and manage to sink an arrow in his leg before he stumbles across Suburban Mom in her Suburban Mom Mobile. He jumps in the car, the kids attack, she drives off.

EPISODE REVIEW: Caprica: “Know Thy Enemy” (Episode 6, or possibly 7 depending on who you’re talking to)

As predicted, Caprica’s ratings rebounded some last week, despite it being a somewhat sub-par episode. Interestingly, they still came in a hair beneath “Reins of a Waterfall” two weeks ago. I’d have figured they’d have surpassed it by a fair margin. Ah well. In any event, the doomed “Little Show that Can’t” did manage to far-exceed its series low two weeks ago for “Gravedancing.” So is this their comfort level? Will the ratings hold at 1.12 million-ish per week?

EPISODE REVIEW: Ben 10 Alien Force: “Time Heals” (Season 3, Episode 15)

Before we begin, I just want to point out that "Retrospeculative TV" is now a once-a-week feature, and not a Tuesday/Thursday thing like it has been. In fact, it was always intended as a once-a-weeker, but since we started it in the winter doldrums, when none of our shows were cranking out new episodes, we figured 'why not double up until the season gets rolling again?'  Now that the season *is* rolling again, we're cutting out the Thursday Retrospeculative.

(Redundant) EPISODE REVIEW: Lost: “Sundown” (Season 6, Episode 6)

Sorry for the delay in getting this up. I was tired and had a backache last night, so I decided to turn in early. Since R2’s already given you a play-by-play, I’m just going to jump right in to the observations, which is the fun stuff anyway.
