DC UPDATE: I Am Personally Going to Assassinate Geoff Johns

Ok, not really. But that was a great headline, right? Right?! Anyway... Yesterday marked the beginning of DC Comics' "Zero Month", in which all of DC's titles would be numbered 0 for the month of September, marking the end of the first year of DC's The New 52 relaunch. I went on record last year saying this wouldn't last a year. I stand corrected, because there are as yet no signs that DC will revert back to the pre-Flashpoint continuity. The tagline for Zero Month is "New Characters Introduced. Secret Origins Told. Mysteries Revieled". It is about one of the new characters introduced that I would like to rant and rave about, and why I spent three hours last night praying that Geoff Johns would be smited with gross boils all over his pretty boy face.

MOVIE REVIEW: 2016: Obama's America

DISCLAIMER: We don't delve into blatant politics a lot here on The Bot. It isn't what we're about. We are, first and foremost, a science fiction fansite, and that's how we like it. We are, however, a politically-minded science fiction fansite. We don't get into politics often, but we do from time to time and this is one of those times. Usually when we do delve into political stuff, it's politics as it pertains to science fiction. This has nothing to do with science fiction, 2016: Obama's America is a purely political documentary.

OBITUARY: Neil Armstrong (1930-2012)

The first human being to set foot on a foreign celesial body, making a giant leap for mankind, has died. Dr. Neil Armstrong was a patriot and a pioneer. In 1969 he, along with Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin and their pilot Michael Collins, fulfilled Kennedy's promise of putting a man on the moon before the close of the 1960's. Sadly, President Kennedy was not alive to see the fulfillment of this promise. Everyone else in the entire world, however, watched in profound awe as Dr. Armstrong stepped the Apollo 11's LEM, The Eagle, and uttered the now famous words, "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."

DC UPDATE: Arrow Trailer Released

Warner Bros and the CW have released the first footage of what could end up being one of the best shows of the new fall season, Arrow. If you're unaware, Arrow is based on the DC Comics character Green Arrow, first made popular on television played by Justin Hartley on Smallville. Make no mistake, Arrow is NOT a Smallville spin-off. They share no continuity, as you will see in the trailer.

MOVIE REVIEW: Total Recall (2012)

I am dreading writing this review above any review I've written since I started doing this last year. Why? Mostly because I'm having trouble finding the words to fill an entire review. Ok, here is the review I have in my head:

"Stay home, watch the original Schwarzenegger flick on Netflix
