Do commercials count as "fan films?"  When they feature love affairs between kaiju and giant robots, they do!

In honor of the passing of H.R. Giger, I decided to select a fan film paying homage to the Alien franchise that Giger did so much to popularize.

Hans Reudi Giger, the Swiss artist whose creepy, biomechanical artwork inspired a generation of science fiction filmmakers, has passed away after suffering a fall at age 74.

Giger created the Alien for Ridley Scott's classic space horror film of the same name.
